Modibo Maiga
Sent out on loan to Metz last season and scored 9 goal in 25 matches.

Is he worth another chance?

Re: Modibo Maiga
Technically I think he's decent, I just think he is suited to the English style of playing. He seems to want to much time on the ball. Probably be best for him if he goes back to France.

Yes if we're playing two up front. Probably not if we aren't.

Re: Modibo Maiga
He is so bad i cant beieve you are even asking the question. He is a league one level player. Totatally out of his depth in the top flight.

Get rid.

Re: Modibo Maiga
The big shame was that he's a better footballer than Carlton Cole who isn't a footballer at all.

The only positive to that goal record is we might actually get some money for him now.

I thought he looked good at first and now under Billic I would give him another chance.

Re: Modibo Maiga
Fella deserves another chance IMHO. He's clearly not "shit" and seems to have a strong work ethic. Mo Mai up front with Sakho? WHU could be brilliant. Carroll can go home....

Re: Modibo Maiga
He is clearly not a sole striker and didn't stand a chance under the fat oaf... play him with a strike partner in these early EL games and see how he gets on.

Re: Modibo Maiga
I think Maiga was just a victim of the "BFS Striker Merry-go-round".

Any striker in the world would have had trouble fitting in and being half way decent in the system that the Oaf was playing.

Im surprised he has any confidence left after his time with WHU and I dont believe he would want to come back.

Bang on the button with that comment ludo.

Re: Modibo Maiga
He is not a striker who can play up front on his own as we saw under BFS.

I'd give him a go in pre-season alongside Sakho and see how he goes before making a decision.

Re: Modibo Maiga
I'd written him off but on reflection, after reading some posts on here and catching a match for Metz, I'd have to say that I could've been mistaken.

It mght be worth giving him a chance in the Europa League qualifiers.

Him and Zarate should come back and be given a clean start by the management AND the fans.

Re: Modibo Maiga
I'd use all these players in Europe over the summer then sell before the season starts. May even appreciate in value as a result
